#StoriesofChange

The quote by C. JoyBell C. highlights the fact that the strength of a woman is not determined by the hardships she faces, but by her refusal to let them control her life and her character. This quote is exemplified by the story of Dhamini, who had big dreams and goals for herself and her daughter, but faced numerous obstacles in life. Her father passed away and her mother was paralyzed, leaving Dhamini as the sole provider for her family. To make things worse, she married the wrong person and struggled for years to provide for her daughter’s education.

One day, Dhamini met the founder of Make Society Smile and shared her story of hardship. The foundation decided to initiate a small food startup business for her, and with hard work and perseverance, Dhamini now runs a catering business with the help of two other women. She not only supports herself and her daughter, but also helps others to earn a living.

Yeshashwini, on the other hand, was married at 19 and had to take on the responsibility of her family at a young age. Living in a small village with little income, she sold vegetables on the roadside to make ends meet. When the Make Society Smile team visited her, she requested help from the foundation. She had previously been taught tailoring as part of a skill development program, and with the help of a donated sewing machine, she is now able to earn a living and teach others as well.

Both of these women’s stories show that with determination, hard work, and a helping hand, one can overcome even the toughest challenges in life. They are examples of how the Make Society Smile Foundation has made a positive impact in the lives of those who have faced difficult circumstances. These inspiring stories serve as a reminder that we all have the power to make a difference in the world, and by working together towards a common goal, we can create a brighter future for all. As the quote goes, “be the woman who fixes another woman’s crown without telling the world it was crooked,” and the Make Society Smile Foundation is doing just that by empowering women to achieve their dreams and lead fulfilling lives.
